It's interesting how different some people imagine Snape. You can find everything from the most dreamy and hot fanon- to the hardest, not so attractive canon-idea of him, just by reading several different fanfics 8D
I like the canon version the best (I like scars...not like Potter's though), plus I think the fanon version is just too...metrosexual? He looks metro in the fanon, and its not like I judge metros...I just don't like them...they groom even more than me :3
Skinny Snape is *still* out of shape Snape. I don't mind people describing him as rail-thin, as long as it isn't in a manner intended as flattery. Don't imagine the body of a male model under those robes, imagine that really pissed off alcoholic man living in the alley behind yours with sociopathic tendencies and a hatred of dogs. :: cough :: Well, maybe only *I* have one of those.
This made me lol. Fanon-snape's glitteries, especially.
I love the canon Snape best, I really can't be doing with the idea of him being Mr toned muscle man with the smooth hair and pouting lips, skinny, scrawny, grumpy git Snapey, thats my Snapey anyday and I love him for it I've always had a thing about skinny, geeky boys. Don't know why.
Know what sort of bothers me? when fanfiction describes Snape as this so-in-shape-he-could-try-for-London's-Olympic-team young man.
For crying out loud, can you see this man at a wizard's gym, or jogging around Hogwart's grounds around people!? (he is so anti-social, its obvious) he's OLD as in flabby forty+ old (no offense to older members here, just making a point). He's not a dreamy type, he's greasy, cantankerous, wry, and cold-shouldered DX
Thank you for making a valid point in this work I salute thee
Cheers mate, hope this isn't too long of a post XD
Wow, that's what I always though too, right before I was catapulted into the Dream-Muscled-Snape!FantasyWorld. But I agree though, it does seem pretty ridiculous when you think about it. He's not some beautifully-sculpted Adonis, or muscular David. Lot's of those fanfics cater to our desires of hidden-under-robes-hot Snape. But there are some rare fics out there (I think there are, but I just can't remember which at the moment) where they point out a more realistic, "cantankerous, greasy, wry, and cold-shouldered", yet still loveable Snape.
Oh, and great job Sinister-Otaku!! I love your work.
*gg* yeah well, it is interesting to read a Fanon!Snape fic from time to time, as long as the author doesn't exaggerate it (like in some stories I have read... that just wasn't.. Snape anymore *shudders*)
haha, glad you enjoy those two Shirtless!(lol)Snapes
Oh, I liked it I can't help but smile when I see it...and stare...and drool...
Right. I'm okay now.
It's definitely interesting to read Fanon Snape. I prefer (mostly) a combination of the two. I like my Snape to be snarky and private, but not cruel and evil. Awkwardly nice (and still sarcastic) but nice all the same. Erm...I think I just repeated myself. Well, you get the point.
I can so not say enough good things about this piece.
